Explore your creativity and design unique, handmade jewelry. Discover the joy of working with materials, craftsmanship and your own imagination.
Susanne Boger is an Amsterdam-based artist and classically trained goldsmith with over 35 years of experience in jewellery making, art and creative education. Educated at London Metropolitan University and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, she is known for her individual, eclectic and experimental approach to jewellery design.
In her own atelier, Susanne invites people to explore the art of jewellery making, experiment with materials and develop their own ideas. Whether you are completely new to working with your hands or already have experience, her workshops offer the opportunity to learn traditional goldsmithing techniques, try unconventional approaches and create a piece that is truly your own.
Creativity beyond the finished piece
For Susanne, working with your hands is about more than making something beautiful. The process itself can be rewarding: concentrating on a material, discovering what you can do with it, trying something new and allowing yourself to work without needing to get everything right.
Her approach brings together craftsmanship, artistic exploration and personal expression. In the relaxed setting of her home atelier, you can step away from everyday routines, focus on something tangible and give your creativity room to develop.
Art, jewellery and wellbeing
Alongside her artistic practice, Susanne has extensive experience teaching people with different needs and abilities. Her work includes creative sessions with people with rheumatism, visual impairments, sensory sensitivities, attention difficulties and people on the neurodiversity spectrum.
Since 2013, she has specialised in bilateral movement exercises through focused metalwork. She also volunteers with rehabilitation and social institutions in Israel, where she combines jewellery making with elements of rhythm, movement and art therapy.
This experience informs her thoughtful, individual approach to teaching. She understands that everyone works differently and that creativity does not have to be about achieving a perfect result.
A workshop shaped around you
Susanne's workshops are suitable for anyone who wants to explore their creative side, learn a new skill or simply spend time making something with their hands. They may be especially appealing to people looking for a creative break from a busy life, wanting to rediscover an old interest or needing time and space to focus on themselves.
Whether you come with a clear idea or no idea at all, Susanne will guide you through the process of turning materials and inspiration into a unique piece of jewellery.
Workshops take place in Susanne's own atelier in Amsterdam. Individual sessions can be arranged to suit your availability, and the basic materials are included in the agreed price.
Discover your creativity, learn from an experienced artist and leave with a piece of jewellery you made yourself.
