Over dit evenement
What would you allow yourself to want if you weren’t so focused on what could go wrong?
The plans you’ve postponed, the opportunities you’ve questioned, the expectations you’ve inherited and the parts of yourself that may have become smaller while trying to keep life predictable.
Over time, prolonged stress can influence how we approach uncertainty. We may become so focused on managing responsibilities, anticipating problems and maintaining control that we lose touch with what genuinely excites us or gives our lives meaning.
New Moon Restoration is a therapist-led neurowellness experience designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your body and create space for emotional reflection, restoration and new intentions.
On December 9, we meet under the New Moon in Sagittarius, traditionally associated with exploration, personal beliefs, perspective and the desire for growth.
Sagittarius invites us to reflect on the stories we tell ourselves about what is possible, the beliefs that influence our decisions and the difference between living according to our values and living according to expectations.
As the year approaches its end, there can be pressure to evaluate everything we’ve achieved and begin planning what comes next. Yet meaningful change doesn’t always begin with another goal. Sometimes it begins with recognizing how much we’ve been carrying and giving ourselves enough space to consider what we actually need.
Our nervous system plays an important role in how we respond to change and uncertainty. When we’ve experienced prolonged stress, even positive opportunities can feel overwhelming. Learning to recognize these responses can help us approach new experiences with greater awareness and flexibility.
With the Winter Solstice approaching on December 21, this New Moon also offers an opportunity to reflect on the relationship between rest and renewal. In nature, winter is associated with slowing down and conserving resources, a reminder that growth doesn’t require constant activity.
This evening is an invitation to reconnect with your own sense of direction without the pressure to have everything figured out.
Through guided meditation, gentle nervous system practices and intentional reflection, we’ll explore the beliefs and patterns that may be influencing your choices, while creating space for intentions that feel meaningful and sustainable.
During the experience, we’ll work with:
* Ceremonial cacao to support presence and intentional reflection
* Gentle breathwork and nervous system awareness practices
* Guided Sagittarius New Moon meditation
* Exploring personal beliefs, expectations and possibilities
* Journaling around values, growth and self-trust
* Intention setting for the new lunar cycle
* Space for rest, integration and reconnection
You don’t need to reinvent yourself before the year ends. You can begin by reconnecting with the person you are becoming.
The experience is facilitated by Joanna N. Thomas, an Integrative Therapist with an MA in Psychology and Reiki Master & Teacher, bringing psychological understanding, trauma-informed practice and complementary wellbeing modalities into one carefully facilitated experience.
