An evening around the fire. Four rounds in the hut. Twelve spots.

A sweat lodge is a centuries-old ritual, practiced across the world. Here in Leiden, on the edge of the field gazing into the polder. Naturecalls leads the ceremony, with respect for the original rhythm. We host the place.

Inside you return to the basics: your breath, your body, the beat of your heart. The heat helps release what feels heavy. The silence makes room to hear what's going on inside you again.

*How the evening goes
- Arriving: together we build the place. We cover the lodge with wool blankets, set the altar and lay the stones.
- Fire and stones: the firekeeper lights the fire. While the stones heat up, we eat soup with bread together and place each stone with an intention.
- The lodge, four rounds: small, low, dark and hot. Each round belongs to one direction: east, south, west, north. Between rounds we drink water and new stones come in.
- Closing, around 23:00: cooling down outside, eating together and a short sharing round.

€111 per person. 12 spots.
Or €55 if you bring a wool blanket we can use for the lodge.

*What to bring
- A power object or something dear to you for the altar
- 2 or 3 towels (1 that can get dirty)
- Swimwear or light cotton clothing
- Bathrobe and warm clothes for afterwards
- Outdoor clothes and shoes (check the weather)
- Water bottle
- Something savoury or sweet to share (vegetarian)
- Optional: drum, rattle, tobacco, sage

Easy by foot or bike. No parking at our wellness area, so if you drive, park free at Tuinvereniging Cronesteyn, Boerenpad 5 Leiden (15 min walk).
