Returning to What Matters
This event is part of the series Friday Deep Dive: A Space to Listen
Friday Deep Dive is a monthly gathering offering time and space to slow down, step away from the usual pace of life, and connect with yourself through intentional experiences.
This edition brings together ceremonial cacao, guided meditation, and sound healing in a shared ritual of presence and reflection.
In the busyness of everyday life, it can be easy to lose touch with what is happening beneath the surface. We move between responsibilities, thoughts, and expectations, often leaving little room to pause and listen.
This evening is an invitation to do just that.
We will begin by sharing ceremonial cacao, taking time to arrive, settle into the space, and set an intention for the evening. From there, I will guide you through a meditation before opening into a sound healing journey with my collection of therapeutic instruments. You will have space to rest, turn your attention inward, and experience the sounds in your own way.
We will close with an open sharing circle, where you are welcome to reflect on your experience, share what is present for you, or simply listen to others. There is no expectation to speak or to have anything figured out.
This evening offers an opportunity to:
Step out of your usual routine and give yourself time to pause
Connect with ceremonial cacao as part of a shared ritual
Explore meditation and sound as ways of turning inward
Make space for personal reflection and intention-setting
Experience the simple connection of gathering and sharing with others
Friday Deep Dive is not about reaching a particular outcome. It is about creating the space to slow down, be present, and meet yourself where you are.
No previous experience with cacao ceremonies, meditation, or sound healing is needed. You are welcome to participate in a way that feels comfortable for you.
Come as you are, and give yourself two hours to pause, listen, and reconnect.

FAQ
Do I need any experience to join a cacao ceremony?
No experience is needed. You are welcome exactly as you are. There is no right or wrong way to experience the ceremony.
What is ceremonial cacao?
Ceremonial cacao is minimally processed cacao prepared as a warm drink. It has a rich, earthy taste and contains naturally occurring compounds such as theobromine, which can have a stimulating effect.
What happens during a cacao ceremony?
The ceremony may include drinking cacao, guided meditation, sound healing, quiet reflection and sharing. It is a space to slow down, connect with yourself and take a break from everyday life.
What should I bring?
Wear comfortable clothing and bring anything that helps you feel at ease. Water will be available, and all other practical details will be shared before the session.
Should I eat before the ceremony?
Yes, have a light meal a few hours beforehand rather than arriving hungry. You don't need to fast to participate.
Can everyone drink ceremonial cacao?
Cacao contains caffeine and theobromine, which may affect people differently. If you are pregnant or have a heart condition, high blood pressure, significant caffeine sensitivity, or take medication that may interact with cacao, please consult your healthcare professional beforehand and let me know about any relevant concerns.
What if I don't want to share during the ceremony?
Sharing is always optional. You are welcome to participate in your own way, without any pressure to speak or explain your experience.
