WHAT IF IT'S NOT OVER?
A love letter to the Mahara community. 🤎
Dear Mahara Lovers,
For almost twelve years, Mahara has been a place to land, to breathe, to reconnect, to create, to celebrate life and to remember who we are beneath all the layers.
What started as a vision, built with my own hands, has grown into something much bigger than a business.
Without big investments. Without bank loans. Just a vision, a whole lot of courage, and a heart that kept saying yes.
Through the years, I've invested everything I could into this place. I've weathered the storms, welcomed thousands of beautiful souls, and kept building, even when the road wasn't easy.
But this year has been a particularly challenging one.
The economic climate is putting pressure on so many small businesses, and Mahara is feeling it too. Behind this place is one person working hard to keep the vision alive, carrying both the beauty and the responsibility of what it takes to sustain it.
And this is where I feel it's time to open the circle.
Not out of defeat, but out of belief.
Because I believe in Mahara.
I believe in what this place gives back to the city, to the community, and to the people who walk through its doors.
And I believe that places like this are worth keeping alive — together.
Mahara is more than a space. It is a meeting ground. An urban sanctuary. A place where strangers become friends, where creativity meets consciousness, where tea is shared, hearts open, and meaningful connections take root.
But a place like this cannot thrive on the love of one person alone.
So here i am, naked...... I'm reaching out to the people who feel connected to Mahara. The ones who have found something here. The ones who believe that our world needs more places where we can slow down, gather, create and simply be.
If Mahara has ever given you something, perhaps this is your moment to give something back.
I've created three ways to support Mahara and become part of keeping this place alive.
✨ 01. THE LOVE CONTRIBUTION
Give what feels right to you.
Every contribution, big or small, helps us navigate this challenging chapter and continue creating space for connection, creativity and community.
No amount is too small when it comes from the heart.
☕ 02. THE COMMUNITY TEA PASS — €250 Maha mornings with chai/cacao and connection.
With a one-time contribution of €250, you're invited to join our monthly Maha Community morning Sessions and enjoy a warming cup of chai or cacao
A simple ritual. A familiar place. A space where you belong.
Your support will be felt in the space, surrounded by like minded people and become part of the community that keeps Mahara breathing.
🍫 03. THE MAHARA CEREMONY PASS — €500
Four seasons. Four ceremonies. One beautiful journey incl. Mahara’s ceremonial goody bag!
With a one-time contribution of €500, you'll receive an invitation to join one of Mahara's signature cacao ceremonies each season throughout the year starting in the new year.
Four moments to pause, reconnect, open your heart and move with the changing rhythms of life.
A way to support Mahara while receiving something meaningful in return.
───
THIS IS AN INVITATION TO BUILD TOGETHER.
I don't know exactly what the next chapter will look like. But I know that I don't want to give up on a place that has taken almost twelve years of devotion to grow.
I also know that continuing to carry everything alone is not the way forward.
Perhaps this is the moment for Mahara to become even more of a collective creation — a place held not only by the hands that built it, but also by the hearts that believe in it.
If you feel called to contribute, participate, share this message, or connect me with someone who might want to support the next chapter, I would be deeply grateful.
Every gesture matters. Every shared intention counts.
Let's not wait until a place like this is gone to realise what it meant to us.
Let's keep the doors open. Let's keep the tea flowing. Let's keep creating moments that remind us what it means to be human, together.
With love, courage and an open heart,
Michelle
