AgusFulka | · Aletheia · Como en Casa Tour

Over dit evenement

Ritual (n.): a way of doing something in which the same actions are done in the same way every time. A way of making oneself at home in the world.

In the opening chapter of the Como en Casa (“like at home”) tour, we explore the temporalities we carry within us. Time moves in spirals: traditions, gestures and memories return, shaping how we inhabit the present and imagine what is yet to come. What place does ritual hold in a world of constant movement and change?

Through live music rooted in folklore, physical performance, spatial sound and immersive light, Aletheia becomes an embodied exploration of listening beyond the auditory. Between inherited traditions and new encounters, Como en Casa explores what it means to feel at home, and how our different histories shape our sense of belonging.

How can instrumental music open a shared space where different histories, memories and traditions shape how we listen and relate to one another?

“Memory was never lost, it was a matter of attunement.” - Jota Mombaça

On October 31st, guitarist and composer AgusFulka brings his flamenco-jazz project Aletheia to Dojo Arnhem. Created especially for this space, the performance brings together AgusFulka, Roos Helena (performance artist) and Jerry Salas (light artist).

This trajectory is made possible with the support of Flamenco Biënnale Nederland, Cultuurfonds and the hosting venues.
