Enjoy this FREE Somatic Yin session, in honor of World Mental Health Day!

Somatic Yin is a powerful, deeply restorative practice that blends the stillness of Yin yoga with the gentle, mindful movement of Somatic exercises. The combination of these modalities sends different biological safety cues to your nervous system, which helps you find deep relaxation.

Location: The Sacramentskerk on the Kometensingel 152 in Amsterdam Noord.

What to expect:
- Yin Yoga: We will hold poses for longer periods, allowing your fascia to soften and release physical tension.
- Somatic movement: We explore slow and mindful movement to strengthen your mind-body connection and soothe your nervous system.
- A gentle opening of your body: We will explore twists, side-body stretches, and hip openers to create space in your body.
- A small group session with max 4 participants.

What to bring:
- Because this is a slow practice, your body temperature may drop. Please bring an extra sweater and cozy socks to stay warm and comfortable.
- Studio mats, blankets, and bolsters are fully provided.

Is this session right for you?
This is a very gentle, low-impact class. However, due to the prolonged time spent lying on the floor, this class is not suitable during pregnancy. It is also not recommended if you are recovering from recent surgery, an acute injury, or are navigating severe mental health conditions. Please ensure you can comfortably lie down and get up from the floor independently.

Give your mind a break and allow your body to melt into a state of rest and safety in this Somatic Yin session.
