Utrecht-Jam Contact Improvisation

Over dit evenement

The Contact Improvisation Jam in Utrecht is coming up every first Sunday of the month!
Let's share some beautiful dances; play and do movement explorations together.
A Jam is a open space where we can practice and enjoy this unique somatic dance form. Acting and reacting on each others movements can be the starting point of the dance. You can move in the jam however you like: in a duo, a solo, trio etc. Sometimes we dance on music and sometimes we move in silence – always with care and attention. Or we just have a little break, witnessing the jam by watching at the side of the dancefloor…
The jam is open for participants of all levels, and is welcoming amateurs and newcomers to the form and practice.
• No prior experience required.
• A guided warming up will help us to arrive in our bodies and guide us into dancing.
