This makes sense - we look for meaning and we need guidance, so it’s natural that spirituality is in high demand. At the same time, there is a huge growth of fake spirituality - involving intentional or unintentional deceit. Someone promoting authenticity turns out to be a fraud. A group advertising a new way to connect to yourself becomes a hotspot for inflated egos. A course promising a spiritual journey ends up being nothing more than AI slop. Spiritual market grows, and it is easy to get disoriented.

In this Salon, we will look at the phenomenon of fake spirituality as something that's both old and also specific to our time. We explore it openly and sincerely, and see if we can find some good ways to sort out authentic spirituality from a masquerade.
